Reviews and Ratings
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room on the top floor was lovely and quiet, with a spacious en suite boasting antique furniture, a comfy bed, and great views from the two windows. The new bathroom was impressive, especially the convenient night light feature. The service was top-notch, from the friendly staff to the helpful amenities offered. The location on the edge of the moors provided breathtaking views and easy access to explore Dartmoor. The dining options were good, although I was surprised by the additional cost for breakfast. Overall, a great experience with fantastic facilities and welcoming atmosphere.
A mixed experience at the hotel: while the rooms were spacious and well-equipped, they lacked soundproofing and felt cramped due to oversized furniture. The location on Dartmoor offered breathtaking views, however, the presence of a snoring neighbor impacted the overall stay. The dining experience provided good options with lovely views but suffered from slow service and lack of refills. Overall, a stay with ups and downs.
The hotel is tucked away on the edge of the moor, offering amazing surroundings and excellent spa facilities with professional and friendly staff. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped, albeit a bit cluttered at times. Service is proficient and pleasant, ideal for a 'get away from it all' short break. The dining experience is lovely, yet can be inconsistent. The location is immaculate, close to many attractions, while the facilities are top-notch.
